LYDIA ADAMS DAVIS  is a joyous singer, songwriter and educator. In her early years as a touring folksinger and recording artist, she shared the stage with TOM PAXTON, CHRISTINE LAVIN , UTAH PHILLIPS, and many ” Fast Folk” luminaries. Lydia was an original Hudson River Sloop Singer with PETE SEEGER.; she still enjoys being part of concerts with these dear friends of the Sloops Clearwater and Woody Guthrie. Lydia regularly performs original country- folk ballads at the Towne Crier Cafe in Beacon.

Achieving a masters degree in Deaf Education from Hunter, with additional studies at Gallaudet University, Lydia has added interpretive ASL to her repertoire. Currently Lydia tours libraries and historical sites offering “Singing Books”, “Songs of Brave Women”, “Sign & Sing”, “One Earth So Green and Round” (with animal hand puppets) to her interactive Arts Education programs. Lydia creates performances as Abigail Adams, Suzanne B Anthony, and presents show tunes for fun. Daughter Romeyn Adams Nesbitt sings harmony on Lydia’ s CDs and has a recording of her own: “A TRIBUTE TO BILLIE HOLIDAY.” Romeyn is  a jazz vocal stylist in Berne, Switzerland .
